This photo means a lot to me.
It’s a shot of me walking down to Blossoms Beach in Bremer Bay with my sidekick Batchie.
But there’s plenty you don’t see.
Both toddlers had colds.
The 6-hour car ride was... brutal.
My wife and I were running on fumes.
And yes, I was still checking in with clients between beach walks and naps.
But still, this photo reminds me of one word:
Freedom.
Because five years ago, there’s no way I could’ve taken a 10-day trip like this.
Back then, my business ran me.
Everything was chaotic.
Even when I did sneak away, my mind was racing. I’d spend half the time on the phone putting out fires.
What changed?
I reconnected with my purpose & values.
I invested in the right tools.
I got out of survival mode.
Today, I speak with dozens of business owners each month, and I hear the same thing over and over:
“Daveo, I’d love to fix things, but I don’t have the time or headspace right now.”
That, right there, is survival mode:
Make widgets. Sell widgets. Put out fires.
Repeat.
Repeat.
Repeat.
Here’s the truth:
If you never create space for change, nothing changes.
One of the most powerful frameworks in my coaching toolkit helps business owners reclaim their time and headspace…
So they can finally build a business that gives freedom, not takes it.
This isn’t “4-Hour Work Week” fluff.
It still requires effort.
But it’s focused. Strategic. Purposeful.
Takeaway?
If you’re stuck in the grind, it won’t fix itself.
You need different tools and a new approach.
If that sounds like something you’re ready for, flick me a reply.
I’d love to help.
Go well,
David B.
